CARE AND MAINTENANCE

A wooden cutting board is an essential tool in the kitchen of any home chef. It’s not only a functional tool for meal preparation but also adds a rustic and natural touch to your kitchen.

Here are some simple steps you can follow to keep your wooden cutting board clean and well-maintained:

–              Hand wash your board with soap and water and let it air dry after use.

–              Use mineral oil, bee cream, or wax conditioner sold on Amazon.

–              Oil your cutting board on all surfaces after each use preferably or at least 1-2 times per month

–              Apply a generous amount of oil to the surface of the board and use a towel to gently spread the oil all over

–              Using the rag, wipe down the board evenly until all sides of the boards are looking shiny and brand new

–              When done, let your cutting board air dry

Why treat the Boards with Mineral Oil, bee cream or wax conditioner?

–              Prevent water absorption

–              Prevent wood from aging

–              Give your cutting board a shining look

WHY OIL?

To protect the board from unwanted moisture, where bacteria can thrive.

To prevent the wood from drying out, which can lead to warping and cracks.

To restore the rich natural colors of the wood.

DO NOT:

–              Put it into the dishwasher

–              Let the board in stand in water. The wood will absorb water and potentially warp

–              Use bleach. This will stain the wood and excessively dry the wood

RENEW :

The product is coated with a blend of linseed oil and beeswax, so the surface may be softer than a paint finish. However, this ensures a safer product for consumers. The cutting process may leave visible marks on the surface of the board. We provide a small sandpaper sheet along with the product to assist you in refinishing it, along with the additional wax-oil blend you purchased. The process is very simple. You will use sandpaper to gently rub over the surface of the board where there are scratches. Then, clean off the dust and apply a mineral oil, bee cream, or wax conditioner sold on Amazon
